Enjoy this 12.7-km point-to-point trail near Kandy, generally considered an easy route; it takes an average of 3 h 52 min to complete this stretch. This trail is a popular trail for hiking and walking, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring and during quieter times can still enjoy some solitude.
The trail starts at the Ceylon Tea Museum on the Hantana Estate. The museum itself is well worth a visit. It occupies the shell of the old Hantana Tea Factory. There is a track that heads up towards the pass from the valley where Kandy is situated to the next valley, we all know as the central tea plantations of Hantana, with its panoramic mountain range featuring seven peaks.
