Day 1
Arrival/ Negombo

Meet on arrival at Colombo Airport by a representative and transfer to your hotel.
Evening brief sightseeing tour of Negombo Close to the seafront near the lagoon are the ruins of the Old Dutch fort, which has a fine gateway inscribed with the date 1678. Also here is a green, called the Esplanade, where cricket matches are a big attraction. As the fort grounds are now occupied by the town’s prison, the only way you’ll get a peek inside is by stealing something; though you’d need to be very interested in old Dutch forts to go this far. Negombo fish market is across the lagoon bridge. If you can stagger out of bed at 6am, it’s a good place to watch the fishing boats return with their catches. If you’re hanging around the markets, you won’t have to wait long before you’re invited to go out on an Oruva or a kind of vessel; A Fishers’ Festivals held here in late July. The fading pink chamber of St Mary’s Church, in the town Centre, has some thunderous religious ceiling paintings covering the nave.

Evening brief sightseeing tour of Colombo
Colombo is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins and the population of about 752,993 in the city limits. It was formerly the political capital of Sri Lanka, before Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. It was made the capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815, and its status as capital was retained when the nation became independent in 1948. In 1978, when administrative functions were moved to Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Colombo was designated as the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Like many cities, Colombo’s urban area extends well beyond the boundaries of a single local authority, encompassing other Municipal and Urban Councils. The main city is home to a majority of Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. Famous landmarks in Colombo include the Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, Mount Lavinia beach as well as the National Museum.
