Day 1
Arrival/ Sigiriya
Meet and greet services on arrival at the Airport by Zeylan Travels & Tours staff representative and transfer to Sigiriya. Check-in to your hotel and in the evening climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is 360 meters above sea level. While it is not a Buddhist pilgrimage site, it is very important historically and archaeologically and is one of the UNESCO Cultural Triangle sites. \on completion of visit you will be returned to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2
Sigiriya/ Matale/ Adams Peak/ Nuwara Eliya
Today you will transfer to Adams Peak followed by breakfast. En route visit a Spice Garden at Matale. Sri Lanka is world renowned for its valued spices and healing herbs. Their lush spice and herbal gardens feature many important herbs. Then continue journey to Maskeliya and check-in at the hotel before visiting Adams Peak. At Midnight start climb Adams Peak which is no gentle slope, measuring 2,243 meters in height; the mountain is sacred to Buddhists and boasts a beautiful temple at its summit. At dawn witness the grand spectacle of the sun rise from the summit. Return to hotel for breakfast and refresh. Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route you can visit to Tea Factory and Plantation. Also drive around the Lake Gregory is a pleasant experience. Check-in at your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
Nuwara Eliya/ Kandy
After breakfast you will drive to Kandy which is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the second largest city in the country after the capital Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka. Check into your hotel and stay at leisure for some time. In the evening at 17:00hrs view a half hour cultural performance of Kandyan Dancing which includes fire walking. Then visit part of the Old Palace and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and view the traditional rituals of the Temple which are performed daily at 18:30 hrs. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4
Kandy/ Colombo
After Breakfast check-out from the hotel and make a sightseeing tour with upper lake drive, the Kandy Lake & the Market area. Kandy Lake built in order to add beauty to the Temple of Tooth. On completion of the visit you will transfer to Peradeniya to visit the Botanical Garden. Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, the finest of its kind in Asia, the largest of the botanical gardens of Sri Lanka, couldn’t be better located. Then continue journey to Colombo which will be the last destination of your tour. Check-in at hotel and stay at leisure.
Day 5
Colombo
Breakfast and stay at leisure in the morning or engage in a city tour of Colombo. You will experience a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders long years ago. The main city is home to a majority of Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. Famous landmarks in Colombo include the Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, Bandaranayake Memorable International Conference Hall (BMICH), Independence Square, Fort area, and Pettah. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6
Colombo/ Departure
After Breakfast leave for Airport to connect with your depart flight
