Day 1
Arrival/ Negombo
Meet and greet services on arrival at the Airport by Zeylan Travels & Tours staff representative and transfer to Negombo and check into the hotel for refresh. In the evening enjoy a boat ride in Negombo Lagoon. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2
Negombo/ Anuradhapura
Breakfast and leave for Anuradhapura. Check into your hotel in Anuradhapura and stay at leisure for some time. In the evening engage in a sightseeing tour of Anuradhapura city which was the first established kingdom in ancient Sri Lanka related to the Sinhalese people. The ruins of Anuradhapura are one of South Asia’s most evocative sights. On completion of the sightseen tour return to hotel and stay at leisure.

Day 3
Anuradhapura/ Mihintale/ Anuradhapura
After an early breakfast leave for Mihintale, which is considered to be the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka and it is a sacred pilgrimage site home to majestic monuments including an ancient 40ft stupa. On completion of visit return to Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4
Anuradhapura/ Sigiriya
Breakfast and drive to Sigiriya. Check-in to your hotel and in the evening climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is 360 meters above sea level. While it is not a Buddhist pilgrimage site, it is very important historically and archaeologically and is one of the UNESCO Cultural Triangle sites. On completion of visit you will be returned to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5
Sigiriya/ Dambulla/ Habarana/ Sigiriya
Breakfast and leave for visit the Rock Cave temple in Dambulla which is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. Return to hotel and spend some time at leisure. Around 14:00hrs your safari jeep will arrive at the hotel to take you to witness one of the seasonal phenomenon called “The Elephant Gathering”. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6
Sigiriya/ Polonnaruwa/ Sigiriya
In the morning leave on an excursion to Polonnaruwa, the second oldest of all Sri Lanka’s kingdoms, Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best-planned archaeological relic cities in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom’s first rulers. Thereafter visit Madirigiriya. It is a very enchanting place as it is set in a natural reserve. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7
Sigiriya/ Kandy
After the breakfast proceed to Kandy which is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the second largest city in the country after the capital Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka. In the evening at 17:00hrs view a half hour cultural performance of Kandyan Dancing which includes fire walking. Then visit part of the Old Palace and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and view the traditional rituals of the Temple which are performed daily at 18:30 hrs. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8
Kandy
After breakfast you could experience the glimpse of Kandy city with upper lake drive and then proceed to Peradeniya to visit the Royal Botanical Garden, the finest of its kind in Asia, the largest of the botanical gardens of Sri Lanka, couldn’t be better located. On completion of visit leave for Pilimathalawa to visit Lankathilake Temple, Gadaladeniya Temple and Embakka Devalaya which are optional but worth to visit with its rich collection of archaeological and architectural wonders. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9
Kandy/ Pinnawela/ Colombo
After an early breakfast you will drive to Colombo. En route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. The milk feeding is an important and eye-catching event taking place daily. Also it is home to one of the most successful stories of natural elephant breeding in the captive condition. Then continue your journey to Colombo. Check into your hotel and remain at leisure for some time. In the evening engage in a sightseeing tour of Colombo city. You will experience a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders long years ago. The main city is home to a majority of Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. Famous landmarks in Colombo include the Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, Bandaranayake Memorable International Conference Hall (BMICH), Independence Square, Fort area, and Pettah. On completion of the sightseeing tour you could return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10
Colombo/ Departure
After Breakfast leave for Airport to connect with your depart flight
